As the Global Head of Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of DO & CO's procurement strategy. You'll have the unique opportunity to work across all three divisions of our global operation, ensuring a cohesive and streamlined procurement process. Your leadership will directly impact our bottom line, with a P&L responsibility exceeding 1 billion, making your contributions vital to our continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Set the tone for procurement excellence by developing and implementing innovative strategies that drive standardisation of products and services across our three divisions.
- Leverage your negotiation expertise to renegotiate prices with suppliers, resulting in significant cost savings and improved profitability.
- Foster effective cross-functional partnerships to align procurement strategies with the broader business objectives, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring a reliable and high-quality supply chain while driving continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, inspiring them to excel and contribute to the company's growth.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and market dynamics to anticipate shifts and opportunities that impact procurement decisions
- Lead the incorporation of sustainability practices into the procurement process, driving initiatives such as responsible sourcing, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction
- Proven track record of success in a similar high-quality environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of our products and industry.
- Adept at negotiating complex contracts and pricing structures, delivering tangible cost savings and value to the organization.
- Previous experience leading and developing procurement teams, with the ability to drive collaboration and motivate team members.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business goals.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proven ability to introduce innovative procurement practices and technologies to enhance efficiency and drive results.
- Comfortable working in an international environment, adapting to diverse cultures and business practices.
